The Wealth of a Nation

This week on Thursday 28th at St John’s Old Divinity School from 6-7pm we will be hosting Professor Geoffrey Hodgson to talk about his work ‘The Wealth of a Nation- the Institutional Foundations of English Capitalism’. Prof. Hodgson is Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Institutional Economics and has contributed widely on evolutionary and institutional approaches to economics. The work he will be talking about offers a new perspective on early capitalism, focusing on the changes in English legal and financial institutions that paved the way to development, in a talk which will be relevant to many, but especially those interested in Economic History.
