Macro-Prudential Policy

Deputy Governor of the Bank of England, Sir Jon Cunliffe, and former Cabinet Secretary Lord Richard Wilson

Join us for a talk with the Deputy Governor of the Bank of England, policy-maker of unrivalled experience in everything from financial crisis to European politics. The focus will be on macro-prudential policy.

Sir Jon Cunliffe was Permanent Secretary to the Treasury under Tony Blair and Gordon Brown and represented the UK's interests in the global 'war room' meetings that followed the collapse of Lehman in 2008. When Cameron came to power he was that most rare of high-level civil servants that was kept-on, becoming British Permanent Secretary to the EU. In 2012 he took over from Andy Haldane as Deputy Governmor for Financial Stability at the Bank of England.

Sir Jon will be introduced by Lord Wilson.
